Our exciting partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society

A look at how The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) are investing in continued knowledge and education through supporting two units on Developing Experts.

Developing Experts is thrilled to welcome the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) as our newest partner! The RHS - the UK’s leading gardening charity - aims to enrich lives through plants and create a gloriously green UK. By combining their long-standing legacy in horticulture with Developing Experts’ passion for education and knowledge, we hope to flood their sponsored lessons with fresh flair and create a vibrant learning environment for students.

Established in 1804, the RHS has a rich history and has played a significant role in the development of gardening and horticulture in the UK and beyond. The RHS owns and operates several gardens, including the RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey, RHS Garden Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire, RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Essex and RHS Garden Rosemoor in Devon. Furthermore, the RHS organises world-renowned flower shows, including the Chelsea Flower Show, Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival and Tatton Park Flower Show. Inspired by their work in research, conservation and the promotion of biodiversity, Developing Experts sought a partnership with the RHS to continually highlight these important themes within our lesson library. In a world where plant species extinction, catastrophic environmental events and destabilised ecosystems are sadly becoming more prevalent, educating students on the importance of conservation has never been more important.

At Developing Experts, we are always looking for fresh and innovative ways to bridge this gap between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. As the new sponsors of two units - KS3 Photosynthesis and KS4 Ecology 2 - the RHS are well-placed to make a substantial impact on our students. Our KS3 unit on Photosynthesis contains 7 lessons, exploring the indispensable role plants play in maintaining life on Earth and the mechanisms of the photosynthesis reaction itself, whilst our KS4 unit on Ecology contains 13 lessons covering topics from biodiversity to land use and modern farming. Through the voices of their industry speakers, the RHS’s expertise enhances each lesson and aligns them with real-world applications.

The RHS continue to play a pivotal role in promoting gardening excellence, education and environmental sustainability. You can explore RHS’s sponsorship pageKS3 Photosynthesis and KS4 Ecology 2 by heading to www.developingexperts.com today!
