We hope you've enjoyed your Christmas break and New Year. We've been busy creating expert and investigation films, songs and narrations. We really enjoyed filming with Emma Bush who is an expert in rainforests.
Emma read Biological Sciences ay Oxford University before being awarded a research internship and grant by the People's Trust for Endangered Species. She completed her Masters in Conservation Science at Imperial College before being awarded a further grant by the Tropical Agricultural Association to complete research in Kenya. Emma is now studying for a PhD at the University of Stirling where she is exploring tropical phenology in Gabon Central Africa. If you are looking for research grant funding, both organisations highlighted are seeking applications.
We have a busy month of filming in January and look forward to filming some of Britain's most pioneering female scientists. We'll be uploading a series of films next week so watch this space.
We've just added some songs about the weather to some of our year 5 lessons. Here's a sample song; enjoy!
