Expert Filming at the Quadram Institute
On the 18th May, Developing Experts visited the Quadram Institute to film with scientists on the Norwich Research Park.
The Quadram Institute is a new £multi-million state-of-the-art food and health research and endoscopy centre in Norwich, opening mid-2018. It will be at the forefront of a new interface between food science, gut biology and health, developing solutions to worldwide challenges in food-related disease and human health.
For our expert scientist films, Dr. Sam Rowe was kindly joined by:
- Sophie Prosolek, a postgraduate researcher at the Quadram Institute who is involved in numerous science communication projects around Norwich. She spoke about anaerobic metabolism and the roles of carbohydrates and lipids in the human diet.
- Luke Farnish, an ecology student at the University of East Anglia, who spoke about the importance of biodiversity and the human impacts on ecosystems around the world.
- James Macaulay, a medical student at the University of East Anglia who is currently completing a Master's degree in clinical education. He spoke about the human skeleton and forces exerted by muscles.
