And space is the topic of our latest release. As ever, each lesson in the unit comes with:
As part of our interest in space and all things astronomical, Developing Experts will be visiting the Seething Observatory and the Norwich Astronomical Society next week to conduct some filming and find out more about how they observe Space. This should result in some new footage for our KS3 science lessons that really will be out-of-this-world!
Developing Experts’ Earth Science Lead, Heather Bingham, said: "Star gazers will love these new lessons, including gravity, the orbits of the Earth and Moon, the life cycle of stars, what galaxies are, the scale of the Universe, what a light-year is and why it is a useful unit of measurement when exploring distances in Space. This unit has some great activities, such as creating a stop-motion animation to show the different phases of the Moon, and a hands-on model which explains why the Universe is expanding."
In this film, featured in one of our KS3 science lessons, Heather explains more about the scale of the Universe!
